Lucy is 3 Months

My little love bugs is 3 months!!!

Weight
At her 11 week checkup, she weighed 12.3lbs (2 lb gain since her last appointment) and she measures 24.4" (2.4" growth!)

Health

We're doing great controlling her food allergy.. dairy is a huge trigger. I'm not ready to start eating eggs but I REALLY REALLY miss eggs!! she has a few flare ups here and there but its not as bad as before.

Sleep
Her sleeping schedule is impressive. She only takes cat naps during the day.. she will sleep for 2-3 hours when Landon takes his daily nap... but ONLY if shes touching me... which is great for me because I'll get a nap- terrible for my husband because I get NOTHING done. She also sleeps straight through the night from 8-5/6 am then back to sleep until 8/9. Its awesome!

Clothing Size

We are officially in 3-6 months clothes.. I still squeeze her into some 0-3. Size 2 diapers.

Diet

Breastmilk. 5 oz every 3-4 hours...

Development

She loves sitting up in her bumbo.. Shes been interacting her play mat.. playing with toys above her. She's very chatty.

Crying

She hates having a dirty diaper. She hates being hungry... and she has to cry before she passes out.

Milestones

rolling side to side... chatty.. grabs hold of her toys... loves watching her brother play!

Sibling Love

these two are obsessed about each other. Landon loves his little sister "C". Every time she sits in her swing, landon covers her with a blanket and offers her a pacifier. When she lays on their floor mat, he will put toys in front of her and say "C look. you you. See?" and she will babble back at him. its really cute!

Postpartum

I am proud to say.. I am zipping up my pre pregnancy jeans.. and put on my dresses without issues... I do feel like my body isn't "back" as quickly as my pregnancy with Landon but I started doing insanity and I hope to bounce back before the end of september... since I'm going to vegas.

Lucy is 2 Months

We are a little late for our monthly update but better late then never right?

Weight
At her 11 week checkup, she weighed 12.3lbs (2 lb gain since her last appointment) and she measures 24.4" (2.4" growth!)

Health

I think we narrowed down her allergy to dairy and eggs. She was super clear during our vacation but since we've been home, she's started to flare up again. It makes it so stressful to see her skin dry up and breakout... But hopefully I can clear it up again.

Sleep
I cannot believe how well she does! She's sleeping through the night when she turned 9 weeks. 8:30pm-6:30am. I love that she sleeps so well! We also moved her to her own room for the 1st time... It's all happening so fast but we want to create healthy sleeping habits for her.

Clothes

Sizes 0-3 and 3-6. We finally found a diaper that doesn't leak! Hallelujah!! Seventh generation works great! Too bad they look like chipotle napkins!

Diet

Breastmilk.. She takes 4.5-5oz.. I swear she takes 8oz when she wakes up!

Development
She tracks very well, holds onto toys, she swats her toys that hang over her little play mat. She enjoys sitting up to watch her brother play. She does great with tummy time.

Crying

Only when she is overly tired... When someone isn't holding her... And when she's hungry.

Milestones

Sleeping through the night
Finally takes a pacifier at 4 weeks and we were so relieved!

Holds onto objects

Sibling Love

These two LOVE each other. Landon is very aware and cautious around Lucy.

Postpartum

At my PP appointment.. I lost 38 lbs. I started my insanity work out.. Hopefully I can tone up and get back to my old size soon!

Lucy is 1 month

WOW... 1 month already! Everyday has been a learning experience and worth every moment!

Weight

At her 5 week appointment, she gained 2lbs and grew 2". Not to shabby! This puts her at 10lbs 4oz and 21".

Health
She's doing pretty well in the health department! The only issue is we might have some sort of food allergy. What I thought was baby acne was not. Our ped recommended we omit dairy, nuts, wheat and eggs for a few weeks. This should be interesting!

Sleep

Sleep is record breaking! We started sleeping through the night around 3.5-4 weeks.

Sleeps 12-7:30am.. Sometimes I'll dream feed around 5am.. But honestly, if she's not hungry.. She won't eat. After 7:30, I'll nurse her and she'll sleep until 9:30/10 am.. Which gives me time to give Landon quality time.

We take sleep very seriously... And we love it!!

Oh the best thing is- I trained them to nap at the same time.. Which means I get a much needed nap during the day!

Clothes

Some newborn.. 0-3 is perfect and some 3-6.

Diapers size 1. We are having diaper leaking issues.. We've been through 5 brands and we cannot control the leaks!!!

Pampers.. Huggies.. Kirkland, baby ganics all leaked.. 1 out of 3 diapers leaked!! Ughh we are now using seventh generation.. Wish us luck!!

Diet

Breastmilk.. About 3.5-4oz per session!

Development

Not much in the development department.. She tracks really well. She has tummy time for 10 minutes every hour that she's awake...

Crying
Here & there. It all depends on the day. She loves to be held... LOVES to be held and will give a pitiful cry if she doesn't get what she wants...

Milestones

Sleeping through the night
Finally takes a pacifier at 4 weeks and we were so relieved!

Sibling Love

The transition has been smooth sailing!! Landon is in LOVE with his baby sister and we are quite pleased with their relationship!

Postpartum

Not sure how much weight I've lost but I feel good!

Sleeping well, eating well and keeping busy!

Lucy Addison Scaife!

Well, it's about time introduced our newest addition!

Sweet Lucy.. Was stubborn as a mule during my pregnancy but she has been nothing but kind since her arrival!

She made her debut on May 24th, 2014 @ 10:54 pm. Weighing a wopping 8lbs 12 oz and measured 19.5" long!

As you can see, big brother Landon is I love with his little sister! We were lucky to have the hospital photographer in the room when big brother arrived to meet his sister! She really captured such a pivotal moment in our lives!

We are in love! I'm going to catch you all up on the details ASAP! It's been a bit nutty since I brought her home but we are trying to manage!

For now.. We are a happy family of 4!

39 weeks.. Here Comes Lucy!

How far along? I made it to 39 weeks so I'll do a final post! I still can't believe it!

Total weight gain/loss: not going to lie... 43lbs total. I never got a final weigh in with Landon.. So tracking my weekly weight for Lucy was a little startling. But I must say, the weight has literally melted off.

Maternity clothes? Yes! A few weeks ago I complained that my thighs touched and it was the most uncomfortable feeling.. A few days ago, I came up with a simple solution and I still can't believe I went this long without discovering it.. I used 1 light pad to stick onto my thigh.. Viola.. What a life changing discovery!

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep? no!! I started feeling contractions 2-5 minutes apart between 1-6am... It wasn't strong enough to go into the hospital. After the 3rd night of it, I decided to wait until morning to call the OB. I literally spent the last week with minimal sleep!

Best moment this week: my sweet baby girl arrived!

Miss Anything? I miss nothing about being pregnant!! Sushi here I come!

Movement: she was moving a ton!

Food cravings: the level of spicy is insane. I've never eaten this much spicy food in my life. also fruit.. tons of fruit!

Anything making you queasy or sick:seems like a feel a little nauseous during the night.

Have you started to show yet: you cannot miss me... I'm huge.

Gender: sweet baby girl!

Labor Signs: labor came and went! I'll post a birth story this weeknd!

Belly Button in or out? Its still hanging on to "in"

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: I'm am all smiles!

Lucy's Nursery Reveal

I'm finally finished with Lucy's nursery! I'm so glad my Inlaws came back for a visit! They helped me finalize all the artwork!

I knew I wanted a coral and gold theme. I didn't want any animals but I wanted it to be creative!

With the first inspiration... I felt that her closet was too big. Sounds silly I know, but she won't need such a big closet for the first 10 years of her life. So my father in law built her a beautiful nook! It is seriously amazing!

We kept the dressers that were in the room. We repainted it coral and they really helped the nursery pull together!

I spent a lot of time thinking about her crib, bedding, rug and wall art.

We went with the jenny Lind crib which I love!!! It's affordable and super cute!

Our crib sheet and skirt is from pottery barn and our gold dotted sheet set is from land of nod (i invested in the toddler set because it comes with a flat sheet and pillow case which I'll utilize later!)

The letters are from land of nod. I made the flower mural by using my cricut machine and cardstock! So easy and the flowers really pull the wall together! My awesome coral rug is from cafepress.

Side table is part of the dresser set. The lamp is from target, stuffed rabbit is from jelly cat and the vintage inspired radio is from Anthropologie.

We basically stole Landon's rocking chair this morning and trust me... He was not a happy camper. He was so pissed that my Inlaws offered to buy Lucy a new one! The quilt is from "Nooches" (etsy). Pillow is from "sukanpillows" (etsy). I made the stuffed rabbit and our curtains are from pottery barn. Curtain tie backs are from "the chic decor shop" (etsy). The ball thing is from target.

The changing table/dresser: this wall is still in progress but it's almost done!
Changing pad cover, heart shaped shelf and diaper/accessory tray is all from Land of Nod. The accessory frame is from MonCheriShop (etsy). I made the 2 pieces if artwork. Which I love!

We filled her heart shaped shelf with goodies I had around the house.

We will finish the room with her going home outfits framed and possibly some photos! Other than that, I'm completely excited about how it turned out and I hope she will love growing up in her room!
