Landon meets Mickey Mouse!!!

Landon is obsessed with Mickey Mouse.. He LOVES watching the Mickey Mouse Club and he lights up when he hears the hotdog song...

When my cousins came to visit, we decided to take our kids to Disneyland... Just for a few hours. 

We had a great time! Sort of. Lol! I died when my husband went and surprised us with Landon's first ever set of Mickey ears.. It even had his name embroidered on it!! He wore his hat for 5 hours.. 

My poor lil guy refused to walk around and I couldn't figure out why.. Until I took off his shoes to find a blister on his toe!! I ended up borrowing my cousins ergo and carried him for about an hour. 

The lines were insane.. Min 30 minutes just to ride a kiddy ride.. Um no thanks!! I can see why people get season passes.. 

Overall, I'm so excited we got to experience this when he was young but I don't think we will come back for a very long time!

If you're planning on taking your little one to Disneyland.. Pack plenty of water, food, snacks & don't expect to ride any rides!

Landon is 12 months

I just looked back and realized I never did Landon's 12 month update!

Wow 12 months! Can't believe he's been in my life for that long!

Weight: On his 1 year check up, he measured 30", weighed 20lb 10oz and his head circumference measured 46.5". I was surprised.. He felt like he was heavier, but I was wrong! 

Health: a little extra tired when teeth come in, but overall he his as healthy as can be! Can't ask for anything more! 

Sleep: sleeping great! We moved his hours up to 7 since he dropped his second nap.. Sleeps 7-7!

sleep: 7-7am
naps: 10am-12! Not sure how i feel about 1 nap a day.. But we will see! 

Social:  this guy is is very friendly! He loves swim school, loves gymnastics... Loves children & dogs. He's a little unsure about adults so if you want to hold him, you have to bribe him with a walk. We are currently dealing with his obsession with kissing. He will kiss anyone and according to our doctor, this can be very dangerous because he's not fully vaccinated.. So now I have to follow him around and watch him like a hawk because I have to constantly say, "no kissing.. We blow kisses.. Not on the lips?!!" 

Diet:  this month, we are eating anything and everything... He likes it puréed, he likes it not.. He likes all fruit and veggies mixed with food. I love his eating habits!

Clothes: 6-12 clothing and 9+ month jammies. Diapers sized 3.. Everything seems snug so we might have to do a little shopping! Favorite places for clothes: baby gap, old navy, crazy8, cotton on kids, target, Zara, and h&m! 

Baby Gear Love: balloons... Cars, trucks.. Sippy cups.. Regular cups. Introduced his outside play area... As a birthday gift! Sandbox, water table, picnic table, basketball hoop & slide! 

Crying: he likes to fake cry.

Likes: exploring our kitchen.. Walking, taking walks, traveling, using his pushcars, throwing balls.. Trucks 
Milestones: We have a few..
Walking!! 1 week before his birthday!
says: Dog "Dah", turtle "tuh tuh", More, dada, mama, says "Ong" for grandpa in vietnamese, "Ba" for grandma in vietnamese. Favorite word: Bad Dog "bah dah"... then he points. when we say "NO", he points his little index finger and says "bah", bird, tree, bottle
Signs: "all done", "milk", "more" and "eat"
teeth 7 & 8 are starting to pop through!

12 months of Landon

I wanted to do a quick review of Landon's 1st year... I know that every mother says that time flies by.. But time sure does fly by!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience as I entered into motherhood. It it exactly how i imagined it would be, perfect and fun- he is teaching me patience and I now know the meaning of unconditional love. Everyday I look at him and I want to do 2 things, I want to freeze time and as I wonder how he will be when he grows up, I quickly want to call my mother and apologize for all the heartache and agony i put her through... Lol

But here is my first year as a mother. 

On September 22, 2011, I found out that I was pregnant and we were beyond thrilled!!! 

Landon was born on June 11, 2012. 4 weeks early, weighing 7lbs 5oz. He measured 18.5" and he was a happy, healthy, beautiful baby.

The minute I heard him cry, I was relieved, overjoyed and excited... Little did I know, that was only the beginning of our journey! 

During month 1:

1st car ride

1st Father's Day celebration 

1st 4th of July

Gained 4lbs lol... 

During month 2:

First smile at your dad

1st real bath in your big boy tub

Held your own toys!

During month 3: 

1st time in our pool..

1st time having a "play date"

Started "potty" training at 12 weeks

1st haircut... 

1st flight

1st trip to Vegas & 1st trip to an aquarium!

During month 4:

1st time at the beach

Interacted with your Excersaucer 

1st real laugh... 

Rolled over!

During month 5:

1st taste of food!

1st Halloween 

Was baptized... 

Went to your first wedding..

During month 6:

Sat up on his own & celebrated his 1st thanksgiving! 

Got to swing for the first time! 

Picked out our 1st Christmas tree.

During month 7: 

1st time in snow.

Started "push ups"

1st time meeting Santa

1st Christmas

1st attempt to crawl...

1st New Years.

During month 8:

He stood up!

1st lunar New Years.

1st valentines day

Started "kissing"

During month 9..

Started using a walker

Got your 1st balloon! 

Met the Easter bunny

During month 10:

1st St.pattys day- went to Catalina!

Started climbing

2nd haircut

Started interacting with the dogs more... 

During Month 11:

Started painting...

Started swim school

& gymnastics!

Used a push cart!!

1st steps!

During month 12... 

Travelled to North Carolina & celebrated Memorial Day..

Caught a frog..

Took a dip in the Atlantic Ocean! 

Seriously walking! 

Another haircut.. 

Ate cake.. 

& had 3 birthday parties.. 

Because you turned 1. 

Oh my!!! What a year! It was the best adventure of my life!!!
