Easter 2014

Happy Easter Everyone! We had to cancel all of our Easter plans since I'm on very strict bedrest. My brother and SIL was nice enough to take Landon Easter egg hunting!

They took him to a place where they had over 50,000 eggs! It was so cute watching him collect eggs!

On Easter morning, we let him come down stairs and open his basket from the Easter bunny!

His basket was filled with "easy junk". Just simple things that he could play with and toss. His big ticket item was a Mr. Potato head. His favorite was a slinky.

After his nap.. My brother and sister came over to gift him some baskets! We also gifted my niece a basket for her 1st Easter.

My sister gave Landon the cutest dinosaur basket.

It goes great with his current dinosaur obsession.

We got pictures of the kids together. Seeing Landon next to Mia, he looked sooo big and grown up! He's so sweet with her too!

And a photo of Landon with my husband the day before Easter... My 2 handsome guys!

And last but not least.. A family selfie!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter! What did your family do with all the candy and sweets? I'm about to get gestational diabetes!

Oh before I forget, my Easter chalkboard!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a beautiful valentines day!!! We had an amazing day!

My husband gifted Landon a cute Lego barn book and we can build Lego animals!  He sat and played with it for about 30 minutes while we got ready.

He gifted me a beautiful orchid plant (I love orchids! Ours bloom every year.) Girl Scout cookies and a stunning David Yurman pearl and diamond ring!

Pearl is Landon's birth stone!

My valentine chalkboard design!

Landon got to open a card from my Inlaws and was so happy to see a monkey! Lol

We did a bunch of paintings this week since he loves sitting at his table to draw and paint!

The best valentine? My brother had a baby today! An adorable little girl! She was born 2/14/14 @ 14:02

She's just scrumptious! I can't believe my sil had such an easy birth! She only pushed for about an hour and 20 minutes!! I'm so jealous!!

We ended up ordering take out sushi and watched Tv at home. Such an exciting day!

"Rustic Owl" Baby Shower For My Niece!

Over the weekend, we threw my sil a baby shower! We were going for a rustic owl theme. So so cute!! Color scheme: burlap & Lace with pop colors: pink & gold!
Let's be honest.. A party by me isn't complete without my chalkboard sign lol! Best $49.99 I ever spent in my life!

Next was my invitation! Coral ombre with an itty bitty little owl, wrapped in doilies! My favorite invitation yet! That's the problem with Pinterest... It has the best ideas!!!

My pink ombre rain drop gift table... I think it would've turned out nicer if I had larger balloons, but my darling assistant Landon spent some time rolling on the balloons... Lol
My center pieces were mason jars wrapped with burlap and lace... Flowers were hydregnas, babies breath and pink roses. Originally it was carnations but the florist didn't ask if I wanted light pink or hot pink so they bought white... Then offered to spray paint it pink but I refused to sit in a car with spray painted flowers (I had Landon and I'm pregnant).. So I went for roses.. Worked out but I wasn't happy.
Table setting was exactly what I envisioned.. Rustic and classy..
The minute my sister and I saw these gold chargers... We had to get them! We threw on pink heart shaped doilies to add a pop color, thank goodness for valentines day around the corner, the dollar tree had them available! For favors, we got nail polish and wrapped it with burlap. (Again thanks Pinterest!)
Here is the mama to be!

I made little bunting signs for the baby Mia using burlap with lace lettering (for desserts and drinks too) i also used pink, burlap & lace ribbons to add a pop! My sister made all the poms... So so cute!

I loved the candy bar... Almond roca is my favorite treat, add in grape fruit flavored gummy bears, I was in sugar heaven! We also served pink donuts, cream puffs, heart shaped cookies and mini cinnabuns!

We served mimosas with a variety of juices!
The cake was 2 tiered.. Vanilla with fresh strawberry filling! The cake topper was purchased on etsy.. Really cute and they work fast too!!!

I decided I wanted to do a bow station.. Different than a onesie project. We had headbands, hair clips and a variety of different colored felts. I added fake flowers... And plenty of scissors and glue guns!
Here is my bow! Super cute and I can't wait to make bows for my little baby girl too!!!

Some of the games we played... 1. Hold a baby while talking on a cell phone and hang laubdry.. My mom was so cute!
2. Match the socks game.. This is my sil's grandmother trying to match socks... Here's a tip: keep it to 10 pairs minimum.. This game takes forever!

3. "Oh shit my water broke" freeze little plastic babies (from any craft store) in an ice cube maker... Whoever frees their baby first screams "shit my water broke" wins!

4. Last game was guess the baby food game... Pretty easy.. NOT! Pears and apple smells exactly alike!

3 of the diaper cakes that were gifted at the shower, how amazing is the golf cart diaper cake?!!! The owl was made by her sister.

Such a fun shower for my sil! My sister is a fantastic party planner! So much goes into throwing a party and I'm exhausted! But it was all worth it.. Because I would do anything for my little niece!

"Ahoy! It's a boy" Baby Shower

I had the honor to help throw a baby shower to one of my dearest and best friends. It was such an honor and so much fun to do so.

The theme was Nautical. We wanted to keep it clean, simple, sophisticated and classic.

I was responsible for invitations, welcome sign, some dessert and more...  I designed them and created them. Everything was custom.. from the invites, to the envelopes.. I was so excited when they were finished! next to my wedding invitations, I loved the way it turned out.

Next was the welcome sign.. which I also created! It's my new favorite thing to do. I tried to keep it simple but once the chalk hit the board.. I just kept going!

We greeted guest with a mimosa bar and some games before each guest headed outside.

The dessert bar was STUNNING! It was was filled with so much beautiful detail..

My cousin Francine made her famous Red Velvet White Chocolate chip cookies... It was delicious. I can't lie, I ate about 4-5.

Macarons were from Bon Epi. I also ordered these and I was really frustrated because I ordered 50 blue-velvet macarons, 20 red velvet, 10 vanilla and 10 coconuts and when I showed up, they were teal. I threw a tantrum and my husband had to literally pull me out of the cafe to get me to calm down. I will not use them again.

Other desserts served was Pie, These cute little anchor cookies that Melissa baked (adorable) and cup cakes.

The drink station was set up so cute. Lemonade and Iced Tea.. along with canned drinks with paper straws. So sweet looking!

The food buffet had the most amazing spread!

Caprese Skewers & Fruit Salad from Yasmin (AMAZING)

The pasta salad was delicious, the Quiche.. OMG the QUICHE was scrumptious- and the blue berry muffins were baked fresh too. I couldn't get enough of brunch. I ate 2 servings!

Oh the TABLE SETTING.. SWOON! the table setting was straight out of a magazine! It was so nice.

I got these little sailboats while vacationing in Carolina Beach. It was perfect for the occasion! I was so excited to use them too!

and the Mommy-to-be- Vanessa! She looked so cute in her nautical striped dress!

Here is the Mommy to be with the hostesses! I love these girls!!

Group photo with all the girls...

I really enjoyed this baby shower! It was filled with so much love and fun!
